DreamPapercut's Summer Memories

Please meet Dmytro and Iuliia from DreamPapercut!

What is it about summer, that you like most?
We like summer for long sunny days and warm weather. This is great time for walking in the forests and parks, swimming in the lake, spend evenings looking at the stars and getting new inspiration to create original art works.

Where did you spend summer vacations, when you were a child. What are your favourite memories of that time?
When we were children we often spent summer vocations at the village with grandparents. It was sweet children time when you can play all day. It was great chance to escape from the city bustle for several months and enjoy calm environment.

Do you have any story to tell, about something special, that happend to you in summer?
The most special that happened to us in summer was trip to the USA on the program Work & Travel. We worked as lifeguards in the water-park. It was really interesting and great time.

If you could only read one book all summer long, what book would it be?
We would love to reread “The Power of Your Subconscious Mind” by Joseph Murphy.

What music makes you feel summer?
Song “Feeling Good” by Michael Buble associates with summer.

If you were to make a summer-film-list, which films would you put on it?
Our summer-film-list would consist of:
The Notebook
The Illusionist
Seven Pounds
Memoirs of a Geisha
The Adjustment Bureau
Forrest Gump
Amélie
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
What Dreams May Come

Could you share a recipe of one of your favourite summer dishes?

Fruit Salad
This fruit salad works with any fruit you've got. Try it with chunks of peaches, plums or nectarines in summer; sliced apples or pears or a handful of grapes in fall; pomegranate seeds in winter; or quartered
fresh figs in spring.

Ingredients:
1 navel orange, 1 small grapefruit, or 2 clementines
1 cup fresh berries
1 banana
1 piece seasonal fruit (apple, pear or grapes)
2 tablespoons honey
1/2 vanilla bean, optional

Trim off all the peel and pith from the oranges or grapefruit. Halve or quarter them top to bottom, and slice crosswise into thin pieces. (With clementines, simply peel and pull into segments.) Halve or quarter strawberries if large. Peel and slice the bananas. Prepare the seasonal fruit as needed. Toss all the fruit in large bowl. Stir the honey and vanilla bean, if using, in a small bowl and microwave on low until just warmed and syrupy, about 1 minute. Toss with fruit and let cool. Transfer to an air-tight container and pack with spoon.

What is you favourite DIY summer project?
In summer time we collect different kinds of fruits, berries and herbs growing at the village. Then we put them drying and make tea. We drink it in autumn and winter to get warm and remember wonderful summer time.
